Flowers of the Forest

SATB Choir, 4'20" (2015)

An arrangement of Mendelssohn’s version of ‘Flowers of the Forest’ which appears in his Schottische National-Lieder. This version features a warm, melodic first section and a reeling rendition of the same tune in the second half. Commissioned by the Royal Collections Trust for the exhibition "Scottish Artists 1750-1900: From Caledonia to the Continent" at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace.
