As if to Say

This song for tenor and piano sets a prose-poem by Elizabeth Cantwell, which centers around a vulnerable refrain: “Holding up traffic as if to say Darling, I miss you.” This piece was written as part of the writer-composer seminar at USC with composer Frank Ticheli and poet David St. John.
